Meet Our Horses

.....some as told by their Owners

Hi my name is Colt. I like people, naps, and especially food! I don't like being clean so I always roll after every bath I get. My favorite treat is apples because they're sweet, but I'll eat anything because I LOVE food. I am quite a big deal around here. Claire has been taking me to a ton of shows and I've learned some new tricks. I am currently competing in Ranch Riding, Ranch Reining, Cow Horse classes, Ranch Trail and Ground Handling. I love showing and winning. Go me, I'm the best!

Hi my name is Sady. Born and raised in Sarasota. I consider myself as the Queen of this barn. I am by far the prettiest, as proven by the numerous wins in the Halter Mares class at all the shows Paula has taken me to. I love carrots, not fond of apples - so please don't even try. I will concede to a shoulder scratch, but don't touch my face unless I want you to (don't worry I'll let you know).

Hi my name is Lucy, but my friends call me Goose. I like food, naps, and I love kids! I also love being covered in dirt and mud. My favorite treats are apples and carrots. I'll eat almost anything except sweet things like cake. One of my biggest accomplishments was when I qualified for Regionals in Georgia, twice!

Howdy, my name is Whiskey. I have been with the girls at Hidden Creek for quite a long time now. I am versatile guy taking my riders through English, Western, and Ranch classes at the horse shows and those that can figure me out, have done amazing. But they gotta know how I think. I enjoy any attention that I'm given. I like to be scratched all over and you can hug me for hours - I won't budge. If you need a shoulder or someone to lean on, I'm your guy.  I love carrots, apples, cookies. I am not picky. I love spending time out in the pasture on my own, and will even get my own exercise in by running laps - there are quite a few videos of me showing off my moves.

Hi my name is Red! I've been here a few years. I spend most of my time hanging with my BFF, Lola. I love to be groomed, but only in the spots I like. When I am in the mood I can be really sweet. I am fairly chill, and nothing scares me too much.  I have learned so much the past two years, and I even have qualified and competed at the Florida 4H State Horse Show with my girl Aubrey.

Hey, my name is Lola. Sady can say she is the "Queen" and the "Prettiest", but she would be absolutely wrong. I am by far the fairest of them all. I mean, look at my long mane and beautiful forelock and tail?!  I do like to tease my person when she is trying to catch me during farrier or hair appointment days, but I've been doing that since I was just a filly. I like her to know and remind her I'm really the one in charge. I love shoulder scratches, it is one of my weaknesses. Don't touch the face - I will show you where you can scratch. My favorite thing to eat since I was just a foal has always been grass and hay. I will always go to that first before that grain stuff. I spend most of my days with my BFF, Red. Come say, hi to me - but bring me a carrot.

Yes, you read it right, my name is Stump. I am pony size, and I embrace the pony attitude. If you can figure me out, you'll love me. I love love love obstacles, patterns, and games. I loathe going in circles around a rail and have usually have plenty of time to think on how to spice this up about the 2nd lap in. You name it, I probably have done it and I'm pretty handy at it too.

My name is Bennett, or Benny when I am being good. I have strong opinions and share them frequently. I have quite the history - from civil war reenactments, to participating in parades - and now I am learning all kinds of things like english riding and ranch riding. I love trail riding too! I am pretty, and smart, and usually planning something diabolical - but it's all in a day's work and someone has to do it, right?

My person calls me a pocket rocket, not sure what that means. I am a pony sized quarter horse with a larger than life personality. Unlike the other "mares" here, I enjoy my people and love everyone. I always have something to say and can show you a few parlor tricks I've picked up along the way. I took a 18 month hiatus because I could, and I am just getting back on the road again to learn Ranch Riding.

No, I'm am not pink, nor a tractor...don't ask I have no idea why, but that's what my friends call me. I am the sweetest mare you'll ever meet (yes, even kinder than Bella...she's a bit dramatic).  I have been a 4H project for the 2025-2026 season  - and my new rider has introduced me to the English - a bit of a reach from the cowhorse training, but I manage it well enough. Wish me and my rider luck this year 🙂

My name is Punk, and it is well-deserved name. I am sweet but have a little spicy side on occasion - I am opinionated.  My trot and lope is as smooth as a Cadillac. The beginner riders are absolutely spoiled by me - and I appreciate them for their extra cookies at the end of their rides. I have also been a 4H project this year - and while I still don't know what it all entails - it may be growing on me.

With a heart as big as the world, he never saw himself as the mini he truly was. Full of life, feisty, and full of fire, he ran alongside the big horses, never backing down and always ready to stir things up, proving that size doesn’t measure strength or spirit. A tiny force of nature—spunky, bold, and always leaving a lasting impression. You were one-of-a-kind, and you'll forever hold a place in our hearts. Rest easy, little guy. The echo of your nicker and the sound of your tiny hooves galloping to the feed bin still ring in our ears every day, a reminder that your spirit is never far.
